Who cares we do P/L was created by two registered nurses, both of whom have had many years experience looking after people and training staff in the delivery of Aged Care. They also have experienced looking after elderly loved ones and know the challenges faced by families today. Caring for the elderly can be expensive and exhausting. Waiting lists in the current health care system can also be frustrating even for the most basic of care.

Trish Sasko RN.CM.MN. Grad Cert in Palliative Care. Trish recently lost her dad and could not access all of the services to help her care for him at home. She has experience in community nursing and is working toward helping people stay in their own homes while generating employment opportunities for care workers. |

| HOW DOES IT WORK? | Register your details with homecareonly.org and nominate what services you can offer. Pay your registration fee that is less than $5.00 per week. YOU MUST UPLOAD A PHOTOGRAPH OF YOURSELF. If you do not have the facility to do this on your computer, mail a photo of yourself to us and we will enter it accordingly. |
| DO I WORK FOR MYSELF? | Yes you do. You are setting up your own business and are self-employed. You negotiate with your customers/clients through the website. |
| WHAT DO I NEED TO START? | All you need is a computer and your own transport. Log on to your computer and browse through the clients who have registered on the site and email them through the website. |
| DO I NEED AN ABN? | If you are earning under $70,000 per year, you do not require an ABN. You are a sole trader and you only require your tax file number. |
| HOW DO I COLLECT PAYMENTS? | This should be negotiated between you and your client and we advise that payments are made on the day of service. |
| CAN I WORK THE HOURS I CHOOSE? | Yes you can. Negotiate with your clients the hours you can deliver services and allow yourself quality time with your own family. |
| HOW MUCH WILL I GET PAID? | It is your business and you set your own hourly rate. We advise that you set your hourly rate between $19-$25 per hour (see schedule of recommended rates) and negotiate from there with your clients. If you charge too much you will make yourself less competitive. |
| WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE? | If you are using your vehicle for your work you should be insured appropriately. You should also check that each householder carries indemnity insurance with his or her home insurance policy. |
| WHAT ELSE DO I GET? | This is a unique opportunity to start up you own business without doing the leg work because we do that for you. We take care of the marketing for you and find you the clients. We will also provide advice and support along the way to help you make your new venture a success |
